Three technologies, one pair of jeans. These Louis Vuitton LV Laser Burn Washed Distressed Wide-Leg Jeans are the result of a production sequence that treats denim as a material to be worked rather than simply cut and sewn.

Laser burn engraving — laser projected onto the denim surface, locally heating the fabric to melting point, forming natural tear and burn patterns in the LV Monogram across the front legs. The position and shape of each mark is precisely controlled; the result looks like the fabric was torn by time and reads like it was designed by a computer. Both things are true.

Double wash process — desizing and pre-wash first, then sandwash to produce a fade effect, followed by a special chemical color treatment that creates a tonal contrast wash across the denim surface. The color variation is not uniform; it is calibrated.

Frayed edge and distress technique — physical abrasion at the edges combined with high-temperature steam and sandpaper to remove fiber fuzz and color inconsistency, producing natural frayed edges, distressed holes, and worn surface texture that reads as lived-in rather than manufactured.
